Since 1980s the founder Mike Rutigliano started his businesses as a young man, purchasing, homes and then buildings and renovating them and eventually building retail plazas and other commercial properties and during which time he continued to purchase properties and invest in various joint venture manufacturers who provided him with the best products for his various renovation projects.

Approximately 10 years ago, he trained a hands on partner John Sharland, John effectively operates the business with Mikes Guidance and Mikes sons Michael Jr. and Robert and several of our in house our trades. We have on hand some of the best trim and furniture carpenters, our Master Carpenter Duarde Medeiros has completed design build furniture for various hotels such as Hilton and Hyatt.

Duarde is a talented man who brought his skills from Italy and Portugal and started applying them to residential homes in the Toronto area since 1980. Duarte worked for various manufactures and now enjoys working exclusively on Sunlyte projects. Duarde has had the freedom of working for himself vicariously through Sunlyte, his passion for woodworking and meticulous finishing is unmatched.

He continues to be called by large carpentry and trim companies and manufacturers to help beautify their respective show rooms.
